Cafe Review: Coco Espresso, Stanley St Central (Hong Kong)

I don't know how these amazing new cafes in Hong Kong keep appearing out of nowhere. Coco Espresso opened its first shop in 2007 on Queens Road in Central, but only opened this latest, and very sleek branch up early in 2015.

Boasting a super hot Victoria Arduino Black Eagle and a Mahlkönig EK43 (one of the few I've seen in HK - they're quite a bit of capital investment) Coco really doesn't have many excuses for pulling punches when pulling shots. And they don't. The cappuccino they served up was flawless, delivered on the house blend which they roast themselves.

A Coco Espresso cappuccino. Nicely done.

The atmosphere is pleasant. It was too early on a Sunday morning (9:30am) to see how busy things can get, but it was quiet. I had time to have a look around and check out the bean offerings they had (blend, single origins) and the coffee menu which was a full menu of espresso and hand poured drinks.

Definitely get there if you're in the area. Coco on Stanley St is at 50 Stanley St Central and is open from 8am-7pm seven days a week.
